Description
Head and shoulders portrait of Guillaume Thomas Raynal, in left profile. Oval in a rectangular frame with globe, spade, books, pick-axe and harrow.
Inscribed ‘W.T. RAYNAL, F.R.S.’ and pencilled ‘1754’.
Guillaume Thomas Raynal was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1754.
