Half-length portrait of Bernard Siegfried Albinus, in right profile and looking back to viewer. He wears long wig and is dressed in shirt and robe.
Inscribed ‘Car. De. Moor. Car. Fil. Pinxt. W. Holl, sc. FISHER, SON & Co. LONDON & PARIS, 1838’ with facsimile signature ‘BW Albinus à Leide ce 5 Juillet 1726’ and pencilled ‘1764’.
Bernard Siegfried Albinus was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1764.
