    Head and shoulders portrait of Alexander Aubert turned to the right as viewed and looking back to viewer. He wears regency-style clothing of high collared jacket and cravat. In an oval frame.

    Inscribed ‘Painted bt Drummond. Engraved by Chapman. Alexr. Aubert, Esqr, F.R.S.’ and pencilled ‘1772.’

    Alexander Aubert was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1772.
