Head and shoulders portrait of Charles Burney after a bust.
Inscribed ‘LONDON, Published for the European Magazine by J. Asperne 32 Cornhill 1st April 1819. The Revd. Charles Burney D.D. L.L.D. F.R.S. A.S.&c.&c.’ and pencilled ‘1802’.
Charles Burnet was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1807.
