    Description
    Entomological studies of insects arranged around a centrally placed Rhinoceros beetle, possibly Orystes nasicornis. The plate contains thirty figures, including a butterfly, moths and beetles.

    Plate 7 from the collection Diversae insectarum volatilium icones ad vivum accuratissime depictae, by Jacob Hoefnagel (Amsterdam, Nicolao Ioannis Visscher, 1630).

    The plate is numbered, ‘7’, lower right.
