Sir David Brunt (1886-1965), Welsh meteorologist, was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1939, served as its Secretary between 1948 and 1957, and Vice President between 1949 and 1957. He was awarded its Royal Medal in 1944 for ‘his fundamental contributions to meteorology’.
