Description
Three quarter length seated studio portrait of Vice-Admiral Sir Henry Mangles Denham, head turned slightly to the right viewed. Denham is posed in front of a clothed table holding dividers in his right hand over a chart upon which rests a magnifying glass. Denham wears a signet ring on his left hand. There are books towards the back of the table and a patterned drape behind it.
