Figure 2 A small abscess in the substance of the brain, between the lateral ventricle and the middle of the right hemisphere. Figure 3 An encysted abscess in the middle of the left anterior lobe. Figure 4 An abscess in the extremity of the anterior lobe of the brain. Figure 5 A portion of the right anterior lobe of the brain with a large abscess.
The author states in accompanying text that: “The common, the encysted, and the cellular abscesses are represented in this plate.”
