Description
A plan of the house, outbuilding, grounds and gardens of Grove Hill, belonging to John Coakley Lettsom. The print includes a title vignette, a reference key, compass rose and scale: 2 inches to 5 chains.
Fold-out plate 2 in the monograph Grove-Hill: an horticultural sketch [by John Coakley Lettsom] (London, 1794).
The vignette contains the inscription: “A PLAN OF GROVE HILL CAMBERWELL SURREY belonging to J.C.LETTSOM. M.D. Engraved from a Survey taken 1792.” The plate is inscribed below: Published as the Act directs, 1st Sep. 1793 by J.Edwards., Betchworth, Surry. Edwards sculpt.
