Entomological studies of the Joseph’s coat moth Agarista agricola, an insect native to Australia. Views of the male and female.
Plate 15 from The zoological miscellany; being a description of new, or interesting animals, by William Elford Leach, volume 1 (London, 1815). The author describes the insect within the text: “Inhabits New Holland.”
The plate is inscribed: “Drawn Engraved & Published by R. P. Nodder. 1814.”
William Elford Leach (1790-1836) British naturalist was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1816.
