    Fully annotated view of the muscles of the adult male human body. Showing the muscles of the head, face, neck, torso, arms, legs, hands and feet. The figure is propped up on strings so as to show the inside and outside of the limbs.

    Object history
    Cheselden, a Fellow of the Royal Society from 1711-1752, published Anatomy of the Human Body as a student’s manual. It was extremely popular and achieved thirteen London editions.
