    Description
    Allegorical plate showing Gaia [?] offering a vessel to Hermes, who carries keys and holds aloft a caduceus. The vessel is inscribed ‘Influentia’ [influence]. Between them is the Earth, inscribed ‘Ne Frustra’ [not in vain]. Both gods stand on a cloudscape with the Moon and Sun behind.
