Nehemiah Grew FRS gave a series of anatomy lectures to the Royal Society in 1676. The lectures were published in 1681 as ‘The comparative anatomy of stomachs and guts’, a separate work published with Grew’s catalogue of the Royal Society’s museum collection, or Repository.
