Description
Diagram of the vacuum chamber, spring and dial of an aneroid barometer devised by the author.
Figure 2 inscribed above ‘Section of Vacuum Box, Spring & arm, and Plan of Index’. The author used the instrument, apparently supplied by Elliott Brothers of the Strand, London, during railway surveying work on behalf of the Government of Ceylon [Sri Lanka].
