    Studies of a spider, scorpion, ant and an unidentified insects trapped and preserved in amber. With larger views of each creature and anatomical details and a specimen of plant remains.

    Plate 8 from the monograph Anatomische-physiologische untersuchungen uber corallen; nebst einem anhange, bemerkungen uber den bernstein enthaltend, by August Friedrich Schweigger (Berlin, 1819).

    The plate is signed lower right: “F,Guimpel ad nat. pinx. et. Sc.” and inscribed above “Taf.VIII.”
