Description
Zoological study of the alimentary canal of the marine mollusc Lepidochitona cinereus at x12 magnification, reconstructed from specimens collected at various locations in England and Wales.

Not signed. Typed label pasted to the main drawing lower right with plate title and detailed key to the figure. Some pencilled instructions to the engraver are visible. Embossed upper left: ‘Goodall’s Bristol Board’. Upper right of the drawing is damaged, with a missing section.
Dr Vera Fretter was based successively at Royal Holloway College, Birkbeck College and the University of Reading, where she was a Reader in Zoology.
