Rod Sirivejkul in a white medical coat pictured against the ruins of his penicillin laboratory, destroyed by fire in Bangkok, Thailand on 19 August 1951.
Captioned verso in ink: “very sincerely yours Rod Sirivejkul M.D. Sept 4th; 51”.
Major Rod Sirivejkul was Chief of the Antibiotic Division, Army Medical Department of Siam (Thailand) based in Bangkok. He corresponded with Sir Howard Florey on penicillin supply to Siam in the period 1951-1959.
