Small refrigerating unit intended to service water baths for penicillin fermentation tanks. Dr Rod Sirivejkul is posed by the unit which was used in a pilot plant for penicillin manufacture constructed by Sirivejkul in Bangkok, Thailand.

Major Rod Sirivejkul was Chief of the Antibiotic Division, Army Medical Department of Siam (Thailand) based in Bangkok. He corresponded with Sir Howard Florey on penicillin supply to Siam in the period 1951-1959.
