Description
Three-quarter length seated portrait of (left to right): Silvanus Phillips Thompson, Sir William Ramsay and Alexander Pelham Trotter. All are dressed in evening wear and appear against a neutral, sheeted background.
The reverse has a paper label inscribed in ink with the names of the sitters and the date, 1912. With a pencil inscription upper left, ‘6974’.
Silvanus Phillips Thompson was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1891.
Sir William Ramsay was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1888.
Alexander Pelham Trotter was electrical advisor to the Board of Trade.
