    Inscribed ‘Dessine d’après Nature à Paris en , et1824, et Gravé par Ambroise Tardieu. E. MITSCHERLICH (Chimiste,) Membre del’Académie royale des Sciences de Berlin. Né à Jever (Ost-Frise) le 7 Janvier 1794’ and pencilled ‘Elected 1828’.

    Eilhardt Mitscherlich was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1828.
