Half length portrait of Thomas Morell, seated at a table wearing a hat with a quill pen in right hand. Books in front of him and an organ behind.
Inscribed ‘T. MORELL, S.T.P-S.S.A. Jones & Co. Temple of the Muses, Finsbury Square London’ and pencilled ‘1768’.
Thomas Morell was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1768.
