Head and shoulders portrait of John Mudge, looking to the right and wearing a cap. In oval frame.
Inscribed ‘Dr Mudge. London Published Feby 1798 by P Brown No.4 Crown Street, Soho’ and pencilled ‘1777’.
John Mudge was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1777.
