    Description
    Three quarter length portrait of John Randolph, Bishop of London, seated facing forward. Right arm rests on table with books and he holds cap in left hand. He wears rochet and bands.

    Inscribed ‘Painted by Willm Owen. Esqr R.A. Portrait Painter to H.R.H the Prince Regent. Engraved by Henry Meyer. Gt Russell Street, Bloomsbury. The Rt. Revd. and Rt Honble JOHN RANDOLPH, D.D. F.R.S. Bishop of London, 1809-1813’ and pencilled ‘1811’.

    John Randolph was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1811.
