Description
Half-length portrait of John Robartes turned to the left and looking straight at viewer. He wears armour with cravat. Oval in a rectangular frame.
Inscribed ‘IOHN LORD ROBARTES, afterwards EARL of RADNOR. From a Minuature of the same size by Cooper in the Collection of the REVD. MR. CAR. Published 19 Jany 1799 by A. Harding. 727 Pall Mall & P. Brown Gown St. Soho’ and pencilled ‘1666’.
John Robartes was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1666.
