Three quarter length portrait of Charles John Shore sitting in chair next to table with open book, right hand side as viewed. Clasped hands rest in lap. He wears dark high collared jacket, waistcoat, and dark cravat.
Inscribed ‘G. Richmond, pinxt. W.Walker sculpt’ tand pencilled ‘1834’. Separate piece of paper inscribed ‘This Engraving of The Right Hon.ble. CHARLES JOHN LORD TEIGNMOUTH, D.C.L. F.R.S. & c.'
Charles John Shore was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1834.
