    Description
    Three-quarter length portrait of Stanislaus Leszczynski turned to the left as viewed and looking back at viewer. Right arm pointing away and left hand holding sword, he wears full armour and shoulder length wig. Helmet on the ground on the left hand side of the image.

    Inscribed ‘Sic X. Son 5’ top right, ‘2518. Peint par J.B. Vanloo. Stanislas 1er (Stanislas Leczinsky) Roi de Pologne, duc de Lorraine et de Bar + 1766. Diagraphe et Pantographe Gavard’ and pencilled ‘Not FRS’.

    Stanislaus Leszczynski was not a Fellow of the Royal Society he was the King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania from 1704-1709.
