    Half-length portrait of Charles Wilkins, turned to the right as viewed and looking straight at viewer. Standing before a pillar with mountain landscape beyond. He wears double breasted jacket with white shirt and necktie.

    Charles Wilkins was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1788.
