Half-length portrait of Robert Marsham, looking upwards, resting head on right hand. Right elbow rests on paper inscribed ‘measures of trees 1743 to1761’.
Inscribed ‘Robert Marsham FRS' and pencilled ‘1780’.
Robert Marsham was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1780.
