Half-length portrait of Colin Milne, facing forward and head turned to the left as viewed. He wears cassock and bands and holds a copy of his botanical dictionary. In an oval frame.
Inscribed ‘Revd Dr. Colin Milne FRS. not F.R.S’.
Colin Milne was not a Fellow of the Royal Society, he was a botanist and published a botanical dictionary in 1770.
