Half-length portrait of Jonas Moore, turned to the left as viewed and looking back at viewer. He wears a cape over dark jacket with white square collar, holding a scroll in right hand. Two globes on the table in background with numbers and bookshelves above.
Inscribed ‘EFFIGIES JONAE MOORE Ao AETAT 35 1649’ and pencilled ‘1674, Sir Jonas Moore’.
Sir Jonas Moore was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1674, he was on the council from 1675 to 1678 and vice president in 1676.
