Half-length portrait of William Penn, facing forward and looking off to the left as viewed. He wears tricorne hat, collarless jacket with waistcoat and white tie.
Inscribed ‘Engraved by J. Posselwhite. WILLIAM PENN. From the Print by J. Hall after the Picture by West' and pencilled ‘1681’.
William Penn was elected a Fellow of the Royal society in 1681.
