Half-length portrait of John Richardson in three quarter profile, turned to the left as viewed. He wears regency-style coat with gown.
Inscribed on separate paper ‘JOHN RICHARDSON, M.D. F.R.S. F.L.S. &c.’ and pencilled ‘1825’ on paper support.
John Richardson was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1825, he was awarded the Royal Medal in 1856.
