Half-length portrait of Robert Robertson, turned to the right as viewed and looking out to viewer. He wears regency-style coat, waistcoat and cravat. In an oval frame.
Inscribed on separate paper ‘ROBT. ROBERTSON, M.D. F.R.S F.A.S’ and pencilled ‘1804’.
Robert Robertson was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1804.
