    Inscribed ‘Painted by Sir Thos Lawrence P.R.A. Engraved by J Jenkins. THE RT. HONBLE FREDERICK JOHN ROBINSON, VISCOUNT GODERICH. FISHER SON & CO. LONDON 1830’ with facsimile signature and pencilled ‘1828’.

    Frederick John Robinson was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1828.
