    Description
    Half-length portrait of Charles Rogers, looking over to the left as viewed, holding paper in right hand. He wears fur trimmed coat over waistcoat and frilled cuffed shirt.

    Inscribed on separate paper ‘CHARLES ROGERS ESQR. F.R.S. and S.A.L. from an Original Picture by Sr Joshua Reynolds’ and pencilled ‘1757’.

    Charles Rogers was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1757.
