Half-length portrait of Samuel Rogers, turned to the left as viewed and looking out to viewer. He wears double breasted coat and ruffled shirt.
Inscribed ‘Engraved by Henry Meyer, from a sketch by Baron Denon. Samuel Rogers, Esqr. London, Published Decr.1.1819 by Henry Colburn, Conduit Street’ and pencilled ‘1796. 1/1’.
Samuel Rogers was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1796.
