    Inscribed ‘The Right Honourable SIR JOHN SINCLAIR, Bart. Founder of the Board of Agriculture. Engraved by Wm. Bond from a Miniature painted by A. Robertson Esqr. Published Sept 1st 1817, by Sherwood, Neely & Jones, Paternoster Row.

    Sir John Sinclair was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1786.
