Head and shoulders portrait of William Smith, in left three quarter profile and wearing naval uniform with star. In an oval frame.
Inscribed ‘Drawn & Engraved by W. Ridley. Sir Wilm. Sidney Smith K. S. of Sweden. Pubd by Bunney & Gold Shoe Lane. Jan 1. 1801’ and pencilled ‘1811’.
Sir William Sidney Smith was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1811.
