    Head and shoulders portrait of Thomas Sprat, turned slightly to the left and viewed and gazing off to the right. He has shoulder length hair and wears cassock and bands. In an oval frame on a pedestal.

    Inscribed ‘P.Lely Eques Pinx. M.V. Gucht sculp: The Lord Bishop of Rochester’.

    Thomas Sprat was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1663.
