Henry Herbert, 7th Earl of Carnarvon (1924-2001) was Racing Manager to Queen Elizabeth II and chairman to the Agricultural Research Council from 1978 to 1982.
Helen Kemp Porter (1899-1987) was a plant physiologist and was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1956.
