She is lit by light from the window on the left hand side, bookcase to the right. She wears beaded necklace, spectacles and short tightly curled hair. Possibly taken in her office at the Imperial College of Science and Technology, Kensington.
Inscribed on the back in pen ‘1958 Taken by Martue [?]’ and pencilled ‘20’.
