Description
Head and shoulders portrait of Brook Taylor turned slightly to the right as viewed and looking out to viewer. He wears full length wig and is dressed in collarless jacket with waistcoat, shirt, and cravat. In an oval frame cut out and mounted on card.
Inscribed in pencil ’Brook Taylor. 1712’.
Brook Taylor was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1712.
