Description
Head and shoulders portrait of Marmaduke Tunstall facing forward with head turned to the right and looking off to distance. He wears dark jacket over patterned waistcoat with shirt and cravat. In an oval frame.
Inscribed ‘Lambert. Born 1743. Died 1790.’ with facsimile signature and pencilled ‘1771’.
Marmaduke Tunstall was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1771.
