Landscape view of a lake and hills in the British countryside, possibly Derwentwater in the English Lake District.
From the personal papers of M.S. Bartlett: certainly collected and possibly painted or copied by him. Not signed, initialled or dated. A pencil drawing appears verso, apparently an unfinished architectural work.
Maurice Stevenson Bartlett (1910–2002), statistician and probabilist, was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1961.
