Description
Half-length portrait of Richard Westmacott in three-quarter profile to the right as viewed and looking off to distance. He wears regency-style clothing of high collared jacket and shirt.
Inscribed ‘J.Derby pinxt. Thomson sculp. London. Published for the proprietors of the European Magazine, by Lupton Relfe 13, Cornhill, Jany. 1st 1829’ with facsimile signature and pencilled ‘1837. /1’.
Richard Westmacott was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1829.
