Head and shoulders portrait of John Wilkes in three quarter profile to the left as viewed. He wears a coat and waistcoat with braid detail. In an oval frame.
Inscribed ‘J Miller sculp. IOHN WILKES Esqr’ and pencilled ‘1749’.
John Wilkes was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1749.
