    Description
    Half-length portrait of Francis Wrangham inclined to the left as viewed and looking out to viewer. He wears regency-style clothing of high collared jacket with waistcoat and cravat. A ribbon [?] hangs around his neck.

    Inscribed ‘J. Jackson Esq R.A. R. Hicks. FRANCIS WRANHAM, M.A. F.S.A.’ with facsimile signature which reads ‘Frs. Wrangham Archdeacon of the East Riding of Yorkshire’ and pencilled ‘1804’.

    Francis Wrangham was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1804.
