    Three-quarter length portrait of George Wyndham seated in three-quarter profile to the right as viewed and looking off to distance, he holds his right hand to his face. A table is visible on the left as viewed with books and inkwell. A dog is at his side, looking up at him.

    Inscribed ‘Painted by Thos. Phillips, R.A. Engraved by H. Cook. GEORGE-O’BRIEN WYNDHAM, F.R.S. & F.S.A. EARL OF EGREMONT.’

    George Wyndham was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1797.
