    Inscribed ‘Engraved by C. Cook. MICHAEL FARADAY, D.C.L., F.R.S. WILLIAM MACKENZIE, LONDON, EDINBURGH & GLASGOW.’

    Michael Faraday was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1824.
