Half-length portrait of Arthur Annesley, 1st Earl of Anglesey inclined to the right as viewed. He wears long hair and is dressed in coat with decorative sleeves and flat lace collar.
Inscribed ‘Arthur Annesley EARL OF ANGLESEY 1661. From the original in possession of the late Francis Annesley Esqr. Published as the Act directs by E. Jeffery 1813’ and pencilled ‘1668’.
Arthur Annesley, 1st Earl of Anglesey was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1668.
